HERE THEY ARE FINALLY!!!

(thought i'd mention early on... upon evolving BARACS and KRYPTA shed their fossil components, which is why they no longer have rock after evolving)

git ready for a long description... they have a very complex evolution!!! BARACS and KRYPTA evolve normally into NECROPH or WORSHREP as seen by the arrows...

BUT, when BARACS or KRYPTA hold the item "SHIFTING SANDS" while evolving they pull a "SHEDINJA" and if an extra space/pokeball exists, then another pokemon comes out

BARACS sheds his shell, and the shell is animated as BANSHEL, and KRYPTA sheds it's bandages to form BANDA... each of the GHOST/ROCK types have the ability SHIFTING SANDS (in obvious connection to the item) which BARACS and KRYPTA will still be holding upon evolution (since it doesnt disappear or become a part of the second evolved form

SO, when a BARACS is holding shifting sands and is in the same party as a BANDA, they will merge together (perminantly) to form SEPLUCHAR, the same happens when KRYPTA holds SHIFTING SANDS and is paired with BANSHEL... both BANSHEL and BANDA are independent pokemon in battle, but really only exist as the missing half of what makes up SEPLUCHAR with the previous form...

the two merge and are the only pokemon to evolve during battle, when introduced in a double battle, the two corresponding pokemon merge together at the beginning!

---NOW! for their individual stats (just bear with me)---

BARACS-rock-KEEN EYE- accuracy cannot be diminished

BARACS is simple the word SCARAB spelled backwards

"In ancient times BARACS could be found in what are now ancient ruins, infesting and causing havoc in tombs and even cities. When swarms were seen it was said to be a curse."

---[EVOLVES: into NECROPH at lv. 35]---

BANSHEL-ghost/rock-SHIFTING SANDS- evasion will increase and decrease at random intervals.

BANSHEL is a combo between BANSHEE and SHELL

"BANSHEL can dissolve into sand and slealthfully stalk victims in secrecy. On Desert nights they were said to emit an ear splitting shriek that was referred to as the voice of the sands"

NECROPH-dark/steel-TIME LAPSE- when a status move is inflicted on an opponent at random intervals their status will jump forward and cause 2-5 turns worth of damage

i had a lto of problems figuring out what to have BARACS evolve into, but im SOOO happy with NECROPH... his name is a portmanteau of the word "NECRO" referin to darkness and death, and "SARCOPHAGUS" the ancient adorned caskets of the pharohs

"NECROPH is a still and patient POKEMON. It arms are often folded over it's chest seemingly storing energy. It was discovered in an ancient tomb by an unfortunate archeologist who upon return from the excavation had aged by many years"

KRYPTA-rock-LIMBER-cannot be paralyzed

KRYPTA is like... one of my original pokemon, like way back in 8th grade, like BARACS its design has remained almost the same... were as all others from that era have undergone HEAVY change... it's name is CRYPT spelled with a K... and with an a... but otherwise its simple

"despite it's surroundings, KRYPTA is actually a rather spirited POKEMON. Curious and energetic, it plays in tombs by following and scaring explorers. It was revived from a tomb"

---[EVOLVES: into worshrep at lv. 35]---

BANDA-ghost/rock-SHIFTING SANDS- evasion will increase and decrease at random intervals.

BANDA is another pokemon that has remained almost the same, it's name simply refers to it's BANDAGES

"Contrary to KRYPTA, it is quiet and eerie. It floats around making a hollow wispy sound that causes hair to stand on end. It is said to simply be a soul trapped in a ball of bandages, but science cannot confirm or disprove this."

WORSHREP-psychic/fire-PRAYER-when in a double battle each turn it's partner is healed by a random amount

it's always been one of my favorite, possible inspired when i was in 8th grade an made a figure out of erasers and wires... it's design has changed a few times before this, but it's been one of my favorites for a long time... its name is a play on the word WORSHIP, referring to the fact that it's models after an Egyptian priest

"WORSHREP emerges from it's bandages as a KRYPTA. It's second set of arms are always in prayer, but when it's trans is broken it's eyes and the eyes on it's legs open and it's power and firey energy is released"

SEPLUCHAR-dark/psychic-PLAGUE-any attempt, through item or "attack" to heal the opposing pokemon is turned into damage

sepluchar is a recent creation... his name comes from SEPULCHER which is a type of burial vault and CHAR refering to it's many fire type moves... it's a facinating creation if i do say so myself

"Creating earthquakes and fire storms this pyrokinetic pokemon is referred to as a demon of the pokemon world. It emits a bizarre purple flame that is said to follow foes into the afterlife."

im really proud of this tree of pokemon... so much throught was put into it... originally BARACS evolved into KRYPTA and then to WORSHREP, but... it didnt make a lot of sense

i hope you guys understood the evolution pattern i described

and lastly, i will have NO TOLERATION for stealing or using of these images or ideas without permission, and if i find... i will meet the perpetrator with the purple hot intensity of a SEPLUCHAR flame... i give permission to draw them an what not, but just ask permission

BARACS, KRYPTA, BANSHEL, BANDA, NECROPH, WORSHREP, and SEPLUCHAR are © to me!!!

and i dotn wanna hear anything about "you dont have to water mark them, no ones gonna steal them" because i HAVE had images used without permission!

but anyway, enjoy i know i do... and um... those who read all that get mad props fro me yo... ... >.>

ok...

Why the heck did I not have these in my favs..

I loved them since you first uploaded them.

Personally Id never expect gamefreak to do a merging-evolution, since a pokemon is lost in the process (unlike Shedinja when basically a clone is created). But you solved it so freakin brilliantly.
As the "Shedinjas" are what merges to create the final evolution, no Pokemon data is lost.

When the shells are created, they copy the IVs of the original like Shedinja, and when the merge occurs, the final evo would simply be the evolved non-Shedinja from a data viewpoint, with the Shedinja getting erased, which is not a loss as the original pokemon it was a clone of is the preiviously gained Necroph/Worshreep.

The type changes through the stages are quite interesting too.
The only thing that's bothering me is...why not give Baracs a secondary Bug type?
It doesn't have to keep it. Think of Skorupi.

That's the idea. You seem to understand it.

I don't want him to have a big type. He's not really a bug, but based more on the relic than anything else. Plus he doesn't evolve into a bug, and shedding his rock exterior makes way for his new typing upon evolving. If he was part bug, how do I explain him not having a bug typing upon evolution?

Point to Skorupi not keeping its Bug type upon evolution :P

It's not comparable, because that was a secondary type that changed to a moderate replacement. Plus being a big was part of it's concept. Baracs is not a bug, it's a relic statue. It evolves into a sracophagus, bug is unimportant to it's concept.

I love the absolutely outstanding evolutionary tree, ideas, and art! The complexity of the evolutionary process is superbly thought-out. And also, due to all the type switching, I'm guessing the post-evolved forms have an amazing varied move set, correct?

I would think so, yes. :)

Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it. :D
