Artist's Comments

yea, maybe crit was the wrong word (or abbreviation of a word) but um... i guess more advice on improvement... the ultimate thing i wanted to avoid though was a shallow ol' "thats cool"... i like fat, jiggly, cottage cheese thigh comments ;D
----------
Drawing & Illustration, Drawing, Fan Art, Games, Digital Work BABY!!!

that's right, my first photoshop colored picture!

i dont have a tablet, so this was mouse done... it was truly an experience to behold since i'd never used it, and comp drawing skills are limited, so a lot of it was practice... i know there are a lot of errors, but you know... crit wouldnt hurt, i'd like to improve

this was actually drawn for the floonsunited fanclub, since im so excited to be in it, and... inspired to draw drifs :D

umum... this is inspired by the diamond description:

Diamond: It's drowzy in daytime, but flies off in the evening in big groups. No one knows where they go.

i get such col imagery from it, and i feel i fairly accurately portrayed my vision :D

---[optional read, my views so far on PS]-------------------
but um... my personal opinion of photoshop... i respect the artist who use it, and use it well... but i still have more for traditional media artists... not just because i do it... but because there are no short cuts with traditional media, and with digital, i admit it's hard, and it is TRULY an art form... and though i also admit there is skill involved... i still feel there is more to say about a good old traditional piece

not to disrespect other artists who major in it, it can be beautiful, but... in a way, it's easy, and in another it's the most difficult thing ive ever done... (but that's cuz it confuses me XD)

so i AM going to continue this further since it's almost essential to graphic design (which is a more than possible career for me) but i value my pencil skills, and will continue them as well

so um... YAY!
-------------------------(also, coding info would rock... like how to do "bold" and "italics" thanx)---

drifblim is © to pokemon

this picture is MINE, if i catch ANYONE using this without permission, redistributing, or claiming... i havent got a clue what i'd do... but be assured... i would definitely let the perpetrator know im aware of their crime

ALSO- {*FloonsUnited full permission to post this in their club.}

*w* This is so cute
I like the shading, and the perspective makes it look awesome.

I think it is very interesting. I haven't read the pokedex entry for Driftloon So I just think its a cool Idea that Driftloon migrate.

Oh wow. This is amazing. Truly! The poses you gave them look great, and the background is really nice. :) *envies backgrounds... can't do them* DX The only thing I can suggest is that if were to get rid of the black outline on the trees. It interferes a bit too much with the 'blim's outline. And you can't see the rest of the background's outline at first glance, either. So it's a little out of place.

And as for coding;

Bold = < b >< /b >
Italic = < i >< /i >
Underline = < u >< /u >
Subscript = < sub >< /sub >
Code Text = < code >< /code >
    Paragraph = < ul >< /ul >
Strike-thu = <strike></strike> (only works in journals)

hmmm... as far as critiques go I really REALLY can't find any problems however I can say you did a great job on the poses and coloring, I really do enjoy perpective work like this.

and I can admit, drawing traditionally does take more effort but that isn't the reason I rarely color in that manner, its mostly because my scanner eats color quite badly and rather than rescan an image 103 times I rather just color it over the computer itself.

Not to mention I can do a lot more as far as textures and background on photoshop than I could do with my pack of 60 prisma colored pencils ^^;

This... is your first Photoshop picture? I think I might cry...
It's gorgeous. I would love to see a tutorial on how you do this sort of effect; is there a specific brush you use to give that pattern to the shading?

Wow . . . that was done by mouse? Impressive.

You did a good job on the colouring, although it looks a little pixel-y. Possibly because of the filetype [jpeg?].

You probably could have cropped it so you don't have that massive black/dark area below the trees . . . it kinda makes the picture feel 'heavy' . . . am I still making sense? :P I mean, it weighs down the the Drifblims going upward, so they don't feel as floaty as they probably should.

[wow . . . I guess I was paying attention in Art History class :P]

WHO ARE YOU CALLING THE FULL-MINI ALCHEMIST! I'M- . . . oh yeah. Never mind :D
:iconbeenachu:
I really can't find anything bad about it.
I failed at my first PS try. xD
But for your first PS art, you're WONDERFULL!
Oohoho, I'd love a tut from you!
I'd read it the second I get it. Dx

Yeah I really cannot find anything flawed with this picture really. The angling of the image is amazing and gives a great perspective. I guess there's like a blotch in the upper right corner (I think) but that hardly takes away from the picture at all. It took me probably like 2 minutes of staring at the picture looking for something to say is bad to find it. This picture it just as good as your hand done work if you ask me.

I don't use Photoshop myself, so I don't think that I'm in a place to critique it in anyway, but I will say, that if I had just stumbled into your gallery, and saw this, I wouldn't think that you were so unexperienced with Photossop. It is that professional looking.
