This is a rather sombre entry, but it's not to say things are necessarily going... bad.

This last year has been really great, and challenging. I worked for a branch of our camp which is an accredited school. It was challenging in every way, hardest job I've had. I've worked at Biltmore Estate as a wine server. Met neat people as well as worked with many. I'm living with a bunch of neat people, and through it all earned back a lot of the mojo so far this summer that I felt I'd lost from the semester.

Back to the point of this entry. I've not made a lot of art recently. Small doodles, camp projects, etc... but nothing that's been sustaining. Granted much of it's been due to availability of time, as my jobs have kept me ridiculously busy but there's another matter to discuss. Since I've been in school I've felt myself pushed and pulled. I've tried to make a lot of come backs whose fire has quickly burned out, I've even gotten working on projects, tried doing commissions, but still nothing lasting. I'm going through a dry spell... or what feels like a paralysis.

Many of you bore witness to my drift away from pokemon. Being a big old art school guy, I had big ambitions, and in the process left behind pokemon as I thought it kept me from doing more important work. While I was in school it seemed to work, but now that I'm out of school (it's been three years already) I don't feel I've much to show for it, and... I feel rather lost. I have ideas for things I'd like to draw, things I'd like to see happen, but the passion seems... absent. This coming year I'll have a more regular job so I can make a routine or a ritual of my day/week which worked well mid 2014, and I have high hopes it'll work again. but I'm always so hopeful. I've definitely lost something that I'm striving to attain again, but I'm not sure where to go from here.

If you've had similar experiences, feel free to share. I'd love to hear your experiences related to... such things.

Want one? Commission me!

I've been restless, not having drawn anything or anyone in a month or two. Caricatures and people drawing are something I like doing and at which I excel, and I want to get better at them so I can maybe do them in person or on the street. That being the case, I'll likely charge far less than I would for my standard commissions prices.

$10 per head
$15 colored

Portraits would maybe be $20 and then anything more we can discuss, but think of this as a discount special occasion that may not last so long! I gots me paypal, so we'll work through there. In regards to mailing the original... I'm not going to figure that out just yet. Perhaps that can be arranged, but if you'd be willing to pay for postage.

For now I'm only doing faces n such. I want to get a little more active, so yay. We'll see how long this lasts. ;D

Um... help?

I admit, I care less about art theft than I used to, but for something so blatant and for someone to simply reproduce without asking or claiming. I'm very bothered. I don't suppose someone could help me in contacting the person posting this an request it be removed?

Yeah, that's it. lolol.

You've all come to expect nothing from me, because I don't make a lot of art these days. Part of the reason I'm moving to Asheville is that all the time I've spent there has been really inspiring to me. I've felt invigorated by the culture and am excited to be a part of it. Once there I expect to make more, and perhaps upload more.

But you know how it goes with 'promises'.

I had another fantastic summer. Most of which was spent in the Florida Keys for SOAR. Scuba diving, snorkeling, Key West, and exploring the Dry Tortuga's. It's been a treat and I'll be working for the camp's Academy program in a part-time position, which should leave time to do that art thang in Asheville.

Here's to change, here's to new beginning, and here's to finally moving out of my parents house…

ALSO… Dat Finale for Legend of Korra d'oh.
